Industrial nitrile gloves
Industrial nitrile gloves are a type of protective glove that are used in various industrial and commercial activities. These gloves are durable, chemical-resistant, and puncture-resistant. In addition, they are also skin-friendly and are machine washable. Nitrile gloves are often used in manufacturing, healthcare, and the chemical & petrochemical industries.
Currently, the global nitrile glove market is dominated by the medical & healthcare industry. The growing demand for hand protection in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries has fueled the growth of the nitrile glove market.
According to Global Industry Analysts Inc. report, the demand for nitrile gloves will continue to grow in the coming years. It is estimated that the nitrile gloves market will grow at a rate of 23.3% CAGR over the next five years.
In terms of market share, the nitrile gloves market has a market share of 54.6%, and it is expected to reach $40.8 billion by 2022. Increasing investments in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries are expected to drive the market.
Healthcare expenditure is projected to boost demand for nitrile gloves
With the rapid aging population and high population growth in the world, healthcare expenditure is projected to increase significantly. This is due to the increasing need for medical services and the availability of advanced medical devices and treatments. The healthcare industry is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.8% during the forecast period.
As a result, demand for personal protective equipment, such as medical gloves, will also increase. These products prevent the spread of infectious diseases and environmental toxins, making them essential for the medical community. They are also used in industries such as the chemical and petrochemical sector.
Globally, demand for nitrile gloves is expected to increase. They offer various benefits over latex gloves, including improved resistance to chemicals, a longer shelf life, and better heat dissipation. Nitrile gloves are also less prone to contamination and allergic reactions.
Demand for nitrile gloves in the medical and healthcare industry is expected to increase significantly. Due to increased awareness about safety precautions and the rising incidence of infectious diseases, hospitals and clinics will be more likely to invest in protective equipment.
Manufacturing of nitrile gloves in the United States
The US is the world’s largest market for nitrile gloves. However, there’s been a huge gap between supply and demand in the U.S. until recently. But improved manufacturing technology has helped nitrile gloves close the gap. And now the US is poised to become a global leader in glove production.
SHOWA, a Japanese manufacturer of single-use nitrile gloves, is rebuilding a facility in Fayette, Alabama. With the help of federal funding, the company plans to expand the plant to 400 workers by the end of the year.
American Nitrile, a new Columbus, Ohio-based company, is also building an advanced nitrile glove production facility. The facility, which is expected to be completed by year-end, will have the capacity to produce 40,000 gloves an hour. This will be the first of six production lines.
United Safety Technology, a New York-based manufacturer, has also received $96 million in federal funding for a glove plant in Baltimore. In addition, the company plans to buy 535 miles of copper wire.
