However, the study found that 31 percent of students failed to meet the required learning standards in English and Odia language.
The study also found that 45 percent of class VIIII students performed below the standard in Mathematics. Additionally, 59 percent of class V students failed to meet the required learning level in English and Odia language.
One of the reasons for low penetration of computers and mobile technology is the lack of electricity in most parts of the state. Another factor is the poor state structure. This weak state structure is also responsible for poor governance. There is also the threat of deforestation. This deforestation could cause hopeless poverty. There is also the threat of violence and child marriage in rural areas.
